In order to publish and introduce scientific works for training and research work nationally, regionally and internationally, Hanoi University publishes the Journal of Foreign Language Studies, the first foreign language research journal licensed by the Ministry of Culture and Information to operate since April 2004.

Publication frequency
The Journal of Foreign Language Sciences (ISSN: 1859 - 2503) publish 4 issues per year in March, June, September, and December. All research and reports on Language Theory, Teaching Methods, Culture - Literature, and Translation published in the journal have undergone a standard content evaluation and review process.
JFLS uses Open Journal Systems (OJS), an open source software application originally developed and released by PKP in 2001, for managing and publishing scholarly journals.

In accordance with the Regulations on the Organization and Activities of the Journal of Foreign Language Sciences issued alongside Decision No. 2241/QD-DHHN dated November 1, 2021, by the President of Hanoi University, upon the proposal of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Foreign Language Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the Journal), to enhance management and ensure quality in publishing both the electronic and print versions of the Journal, Hanoi University is implementing several new regulatory documents for the Journal.
