Abstract

This study presents the findings of a survey on Vietnamese – Japanese translations produced by third-year students of Business Japanese, Japanese Department, Hanoi University. The analysis of qualitative data from students’ translation reveals that they tend to make errors in grammar and vocabulary, which result in incorrect translation (with either redundant or insufficient information), as well as coherence and cohesion... On that basis, this study proposes some recommendations for teachers in teaching and helping their students avoid making errors.
