One of the consequences of globalization on language is the tendency to localize international information in order to increase the effectiveness of communication of the source. How does this tendency happen? Which principles does the compilation of localized articles have to follow? Do journalists-translators translate the source materials or only consider them a source of materials to compose a new article according to the cultural, political, ethical, and ideological norms of the receiving society? These issues are addressed in the paper which includes two main parts: theoretical basis and principles of localizing information and a recommendation for offering translation lessons.
