Author Guidelines

If you wish you submit an article to HANU’s Journal of Foreign Language Studies (JFLS), please review the About the Journal section as well as the Author Guidelines. Authors need to register with the Journal prior to submitting or, if already registered, can simply log in and begin the five-step process.

Article template

The JFLS employs IMRAD (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion) structure for an article. Please use the template below for your paper to submit to the JFLS.

Review

The JFLS employs double-blind peer review processes to evaluate the submitted papers to ensure the quality of the Journal. All papers submitted to the Journal need to be without the authors' name and other personal information. Only papers without authors’ name and other personal information will be sent to peer reviewers to undergo the reviewing process.

The authors can have a close look at the Review Form to see how or what aspects of their papers are reviewed so that they could revise to enhance the quality of their papers. The Reviewers also use this Review Form as guidelines to provide useful comments to help the authors improve the quality of their research papers.

Review Form

The JFLS uses the APA7 style for citations and references. The authors can need helps from Google Scholar or other software to employ the appropriate citations and references.  

Post review/Editing

After receiving the peer reviewers' and editors’ comments, you are also required to use the Revision Form when you submit your revised version.

Revision Form

The JFLS uses the Sofware of Turnitin to check for Plagiarism. Only manuscripts with less than 30% of similarity index are considered for publication. So, please be aware of using appropriate citations and references. Please check the Ethics and Malpractice section for this issue.

The authors are responsible for the legality of their manuscripts and commit to not infringing upon the copyrights of previously published works. Disputes related to the copyright of articles will be resolved according to the current regulations of intellectual property law.
