Abstract

"Economic Translation" is an important component of the French-language undergraduate program at Thuongmai University, which aims to develop students’ translation skills and enhance their employability. However, as this course relies largely on instructors’ experience, there remain several shortcomings in its content, teaching methods, and assessment practices. These limitations, along with key challenges in teaching and learning, were identified through student surveys and semi-structured interviews with faculty members. Based on the findings, this study proposes specific solutions: updating teaching content, innovating assessment methods, encouraging instructors to adopt appropriate teaching strategies, and guiding students to optimize their learning process.
