Abstract

Translation theory plays a significant role in providing a theoretical basis for orientation, explanation, guidance and selection of translation in practice and research on translation.

The combination of fundamental contents and principles of translation theory in composing, training and assessing translators’ capacity as well as quality of translated materials also make a substantial contribution to improving the quality of training and research on translation.
