About the Journal

Over nearly 65 years of construction and development, Hanoi University has gradually built up its academic tradition, affirming its strengths in teaching methods, translation research, language, foreign culture, and literature. The faculty, teachers, and students of the university have carried out numerous valuable research projects, applied in foreign language teaching and learning, which have been highly appreciated by the professional community. In recent years, the scientific research activities of the university have developed vigorously both in terms of quality and quantity.

In contrast to previous journals such as "Ngôn Ngữ" (Language) and "Ngôn Ngữ và Đời sống" (Language and Life), the Journal of Foreign Language Studies serves as a forum for scholarly exchange on language and culture issues, teaching and learning methods in foreign languages, translation, foreign culture, and literature. Its target readership includes students, teachers, and researchers of foreign languages. The Journal of Foreign Language Studies consists of main sections: Language theory, Teaching methods, Culture - Literature, Translation, Information - Exchange.

With a scientific, effective, and useful approach, serving the best for the foreign language education and research in Vietnam, the Journal of Foreign Language Studies hopes for active cooperation from researchers, faculty, teachers, and students nationwide. It is hoped that with the nurturing of the entire scientific community, the Journal of Foreign Language Studies will mature to remain a reliable companion for all those interested in the development of foreign languages.
