A REVIEW OF STUDIES ON PSYCHO-EMOTIONAL WORDS IN CHINESE AND VIETNAMESE

Abstract

Since late nineteenth century, many Vietnamese and Chinese scholars’ has been interested in conducting research on the group of psycho-emotional words and considered it an important part in the study of vocabulary, grammar and meaning. Such research takes on two dimensions: meaning and ability to combine words. This article reviews typical studies on the group of psycho-emotional words in Chinese and Vietnamese.
